CONSUMER WARNING: As you can tell from researching Mold on the internet, there are many local companies that offer various Mold services. Some of these firms do both Mold Testing and Mold Remediation. BEWARE! Those firms might trick you by saying that you have Toxic Black Mold just so that they can charge you thousands of dollars to fix the problems, even if there really isn't any real mold. Therefore, for your protection, you should always choose one company (like us, for example) to inspect and test your property, and then choose a different company to perform the remediation, cleanup, and/or reconstruction. That way there will be no conflicts of interest and you'll be more likely to get accurate test results and cost-effective repairs.

MOLD AND MOLD INSPECTIONS
     1. Mold growth in homes and buildings is always caused by water getting inside of the structure, so our first step is to inspect for leaks and for conditions that may cause leaks. We visually inspect your roof, exterior walls, windows, doors, balconies, decks, foundation, crawlspace, basement, and all interior spaces for faulty construction and damage. We also inspect your plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems, and all interior dwelling space areas including bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms. We utilize specialized moisture detection equipment such as Protimeter Moisture Meters and Thermographic Imaging equipment to help pinpoint moisture intrusion problems.
     2. As appropriate to better understand the conditions at your home or building, we may sample visible molds on surfaces, or we may sample the air to determine the concentration of airborne mold spores that may cause respiratory symptoms.
     3. Volatile Organic Compounds, or VOC's, are chemical compounds that are airborne at room temperature. There are thousands of VOC's in modern buildings from common sources such as paints, carpets, cabinets, fuels, solvents, wood preservatives, household cleaners, perfumes -- the list is nearly endless. Many of these compounds may cause health symptoms such as headaches, and many give off odors that are often mistaken for mold. We provide instant on-site assessment of VOC levels in your home or office, and perform testing and sampling as appropriate.
     4. We have over 30 years of construction and inspection experience and a strong background in science and data analysis. We are Certified by IAQA, ESA, CREIA, and ASHI, and we are experts in finding the leaks and moisture intrusion problems that can cause mold. We can also identify heating, cooling, and ventilation problems that can adversely affect your indoor air, and test for airborne chemical contaminants. We provide comprehensive written reports and can provide you with guidance for both remediation and reconstruction.
     5. Once all of the cleanup and repairs have been completed, we provide complete followup inspection and testing to verify that the work was successful in restoring your home or office to clean and healthy condition.
